Revolver barstool in black. Height 65cm.

Designed with a seat height of 64cm to fit under a standard height counter top.

The Revolver Bar Stool is really rather brilliant. It's positioned on a bearing mechanism that enables the seat and foot ring to rotate 360 degrees. The slim, slightly dished seat features curved edges for additional comfort, while the footrest provides support and the weighty base creates total stability. The rotating feature, while altering appearance, also lends a sense of the play to this functional design.

About Leon Ransmeier

 

Ransmeier is an American industrial designer who founded the design practise Ransmeier Inc., in New York in 2010. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, his work has been included in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) and the Corning Museum of Glass. Very much a hands-on designer, Ransmeier develops full size prototypes of all of his works and is a believer in the idea that “use follows form”.
